As Hard as it is to swallow…

We cannot expect to work on developing a culture to follow the present civilization. That will be the task of those living after this civilization is gone.

As hard as it is to swallow we are, at best, creating within the context of the early days of this civilization's collapse. We are "Late," not even "Post." Certainly not "Early" anything, whatever the next culture might call itself. All we can do is to hope to have an influence on how this culture ends. In the hope that this may facilitate what comes after.
