After a week out of town and still recovering from a cold caught in that time away from my customary relative isolation, I'm still not ready to write anything substantive here.
This post is just to let you know this blog is not down, only temporarily awaiting fresh energies.
I actually welcome these times – though not if they come too frequently! Taking a breath, a literal inspiration, is required if we are to avoid getting caught up in stagnating habits, pushing to continue along narrowly established paths of immediate precedent.
One thing I've been happy to find as this process continues is that I discover others who are doing great jobs at certain aspects of what matters to me. I welcome these for two reasons. It is a boon to find others advancing and clarifying paths around me. It is also a relief to recognize that those aspects are not things I need to continue striving to accomplish myself. Finding compatriots is convivial in these two ways. A shared concern is lighter. A shared effort is also. It frees one to look for other aspects of the puzzle that are less scrutinized. To finding other ways of expressing what is found than the ways accumulated habit presents to us as the easiest path.
